The 10 Must-Know Capitalisation Rules (Shown in the Anchor Chart)

You can place this anchor chart somewhere your child sees often, like their study corner or on the fridge. Usually, when school reopens after the holidays, punctuation is one of the first topics kids revisit because it's key to building proper sentence structure.

That’s why vacation time is perfect for brushing up on it—or even introducing it if they’re learning it for the first time. Just 10 to 15 minutes a day is enough. Focus on one punctuation rule at a time, help them get comfortable using simple examples, and then move on to the next rule.

In my next blog post, I will be sharing some fun practice worksheets for each rule. For now, the rules listed on this anchor chart will give you a start to learn punctuation.
